Australian research studies indicate one in six adolescents may experience symptoms of a mental health issue. Building mental health literacy is essential to improve mental health outcomes for young people.
The 14 hour Youth MHFA courses teaches participants knowledge and practical skills to assess, approach and assist and young person who might be experiencing a mental health issue or in a crisis.
The course is relevant to teachers, school staff members, youth workers and parents. Participants will become accredited as Youth Mental Health First Aider upon completion of the course requirements.
