Research suggest that 1 in 5 Australian adults experience symptoms of a mental health disorder in any given year. Building mental health literacy is essential to identifying and responding to mental health issues.
The 12 hour Standard MHFA course teaches participants the knowledge and practical skills to assess, approach and assist a person who might be experiencing a mental health issue or a mental health crisis.
The course is relevant to all members of the community and these skills can be applied in both a professional and personal context. Participants will become accredited as Mental Health First Aid Facilitator upon completion of the course requirements.
